Growing majority of Alabamians want more spent on education, survey says – WZDX

Respondents were divided on how to pay for it, but most think that internet sales taxes should be distributed differently.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Almost 80 percent of Alabamians across all demographics want the state to invest more in education, continuing a trend tracked over the past decade by the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama.

A survey released Tuesday found that 78 percent of respondents think more should be spent on education, up from 74 percent in 2019, and 68 percent in 2013.
